THE AUTHOR

Dr. Lucien Denis Mocombe, born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, moved to Canada in 1971 to continue his education. He earned a health sciences diploma from CEGEP de Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada, and a medical degree from the Faculté de Médecine Xavier–Bichat at Université Paris VII, receiving the Silver Medal as a laureate.

Since 1982, he has lived in the United States, where he operated a successful medical practice for thirty-three years. He is retired and lives in Long Island, New York.
